Last night a Police building was burnt to the ground during a second night of violence and looting in Minneapolis.
The violence has erupted after the on-camera killing of an unarmed black man in the city as a now former police officer (he and three of his colleagues have been fired) knelt on his neck for almost ten minutes even when he can clearly be heard saying "I can't breathe".
My reaction to that killing was immediate and unequivocal. After watching the video I said I was really mad. I said bad LEOs needed to be found and removed because they were harming good LEOs. I said that George Floyd CLEARLY needed to be put in the car. I was pleased when they fired the four officers and said charges needed to follow because a jury needed to decide. For me it was clearly an unlawful killing of an unarmed man.
What has followed is the looting of Target and the burning of a Police building and a lot of violence. There are people who seem more mad about that than about the thing that sparked that. Where do you stand?
