Chauvin verdict: do you expect violence no matter what the jury decides?

Governor Tim Walz (D, Minnesota) has declared a State of Emergency in the counties that surround and include Minneapolis as his State prepares for the Derek Chauvin verdict.

As the jury enters their second day of deliberations and following incitement to violence comments from Rep. Maxine Waters, the Governor said: "We can’t live like this. We simply can’t. But we can’t have thousands of businesses burned and people put at risk."

Waters joined a group of protesters where she said: "We've got to stay on the street and we've got to get more active, we've got to get more confrontational. We've got to make sure that they know that we mean business."

The judge was asked to declare a mistrial and although he didn't, he did say he thought the entire case could be thrown out on appeal because of her comments. "I'll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned," Judge Peter Cahill said.

There are many possible verdicts, but will it matter when it comes to violence on the streets? Do you expect violence no matter what the jury decides?
