With credit card companies now tracking gun buys, will you switch to cash?

The gun grabbers have long wanted this, and now the credit card companies have delivered!

American Express, MasterCard and Visa are creating a new coding system for all firearms and ammunition purchases in the United States.

The NRA is outraged, saying it will restrict the Second Amendment and effectively create a national registry of gun owners.

"The industry's decision to create a firearm-specific code is nothing more than capitulation to anti-gun politicians and activists bent on eroding the rights of law-abiding Americans, one transaction at a time," NRA spokesman Lars Dalseide said.

"This is not about tracking or prevention or any virtuous motivation - it's about creating a national registry of gun owners."

Not everyone is upset. "We are grateful that the financial sector has stopped stalling and finally understands the problem, which is that credit card purchases have consistently been involved in some of our nation's worst mass shootings. Credit card companies have rules to stop fraud and human trafficking. This common-sense decision means the same rules will apply to guns, making it easier to stop illegal firearms-related activity," Igor Volsky, founder and executive director of Guns Down America, said.

Clearly criminals don't use credit cards, but it is true that some mass shooters have done so.

Are you concerned? Will you switch to cash to make firearm and ammo purchases?
