Now that a formal subpoena has been issued for President Trump to appear before the January 6th Committee, negotiations are in fact underway to see what that might look like.
Trump wants the hearing to be live and on TV, will the committee is reluctant to let that happen.
Outgoing member of Congress, Liz Cheney was herself questioned over the weekend by Meet The Press's Chuck Todd. "Is the committee open to his supposed offer, or at least behind the scenes offer, of going on live television?"
Cheney seemed a bit confused.
"So the committee treats this matter with great seriousness. And we are going to proceed in terms of the questioning of the former president under oath," she said. "And it will be done with a level of rigor and discipline and seriousness that it deserves. We are not going to allow...he's not going to turn this into a circus," she added.
What do you think? Now that a formal subpoena has been issued, will President Trump testify before the January 6 Committee?
