Last night President Joe Biden delivered his second State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress.
He lied. A lot. And in places what he said was truly remarkable.
"Some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset," Biden said as the sounds of complaint from Republicans began to fill the room. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green from Georgia screamed "LIAR".
Biden then went off script. "I'm not saying it's a majority of you. I don't even think it's even a significant – but it’s being proposed by individuals. I'm politely not naming them, but it's being proposed by some of you."
Even left leaning outlets have said repeatedly that the President is not being truthful here.
Then there was this. "Two years ago, our economy was reeling," Biden said. "As I stand here tonight, we have created a record 12 million new jobs, more jobs created in two years than any president has ever created in four years."
The Bureau of Labor Statistics disagrees, saying this administration has only added 2.7 million jobs. The rest are COVID rehires.
He also claimed he stopped the rise of China! No, seriously! He really did!
"Before I came to office, the story was about how the People's Republic of China was increasing its power and America was falling in the world. Not anymore."
And then there was this. "We must finally hold social media companies accountable for the experiment they are running on our children for profit," but he made no mention of the permanent life changing gender surgeries being inflicted on the same children.
I was most certainly not impressed, but what did you think of Biden's second SOTU address?
