Are you concerned by the "objects" we are shooting down from our airspace?

What is going on? US Air Force General Glen VanHerck said intelligence services were exploring all avenues. "I'll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven't ruled out anything. At this point we continue to assess every threat or potential threat, unknown, that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it. We're calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason."

He also pointed out that this is the first time we've done anything like this. "I believe this is the first time within United States or American airspace that NORAD or United States Northern Command has taken kinetic action against an airborne object."

This is what we know so far because the White House as usual is being very quiet.

Here's the timeline:

Feb 1: Chinese balloon spotted over Montana

Feb 4: That balloon is shot down off the coast of South Carolina having spent a lot of time floating over the country

Feb 9: First UFO (Pentagon description) detected off coast of Alaska

Feb 10: That is shot down over Deadhorse, Alaska

Feb 11: Second UFO shot down over Canada

FAA closes airspace over Montana citing another possible UFO. Later NORAD said it was a "radar anomaly"

Feb 12: Third UFO is detected over the Great Lakes. We shoot it down.

Then of course we must ask why we are using very expensive missiles? If these are balloons then why not machine guns which both the F22s and F16s are equipped with.
