Would Fed response to rail disaster be different if train derailed in DC?

Environmental And Health Concerns Grow In East Palestine, Ohio After Derailment Of Train Cars Containing Hazardous Material

There are many things to keep the transport secretary busy these days. Strange things in our skies, three train derailments including the massive toxic problem in Ohio, but Pete Buttigieg is concerned about racism in construction!

Can't make that up, right?

"We have heard way too many stories from generations past of infrastructure where you got a neighborhood, often a neighborhood of color, that finally sees the project come to them, but everyone in the hard hats on that project, doing the good paying jobs, don't look like they came from anywhere near the neighborhood,' Buttigieg said yesterday while completely ignoring the catastrophic derailment in East Palestine, Ohio which released massive amounts of toxic chemicals.

Later - at night - a member of his staff clearly pointed out how bad that looked and so he tweeted "I continue to be concerned about the impacts of the February 3 train derailment near East Palestine, OH and the effects on families in the ten days since their lives were upended through no fault of their own."

I just can't help wondering how different the Fed response might look if this was all taking place in Washington DC. What do you think?
