Emerald Ash Borer Confirmed in Five More Iowa Counties

Emerald Ash Borer

The Emerald Ash Borer has continued to take over Iowa. Insect samples from Benton, Buena Vista, Floyd, Howard and Warren counties were submitted and positively identified by the USDA. This means EAB has now reached more than half of Iowa's counties.

“Now that trees have been given the opportunity to fully leaf out for the season, the symptoms of an ash tree under attack by EAB are more noticeable.” - Mike Kintner, Iowa Department of Agriculture
