Seeking accountability on the RFS

Iowa agricultural and biofuel leaders gathered Wednesday morning at the offices of the Iowa Corn Growers Association to push back against the EPA after the rolled out a draft of the supplemental rule supposedly agreed to on October 4th to fix the demand destruction being caused by Small Refinery Exemptions:

Grant Kimberly with the Iowa Biodiesel Board, along with Monte Shaw from the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and Iowa Corn Growers Association CEO Craig Floss all spent over an hour diving into the details:

The biggest slap in the face, they say, is the EPA wants to use SRE estimates rather than actual gallons, and rely on recommendations from the Department of Energy which EPA has purposefully ignored in the past. They say there is a 30 day comment period and it's imperative you get in touch with your elected representative.
