Social distancing in the shop instead of the planter

We had planned to plant some on-farm trials with our friends at Pioneer Seeds today but with the overnight rain and today's chilly temps, it was a shop day to evaluate progress and develop a plan for the rest of planting instead:

Out on Andy's Dad's farm in Eastern Jones County, he set up in front of the metal lathe as Pioneer Agronomist Jeff LaFrenz did some digging to check on seeds planted a week ago:

After seeing the sprout, he pulled up Pioneer's website to determind the GDU's since planting and determined the sprout was right on schedule:

Of course, Jake the shop cat had to do some looking around at this fancy new equipment:

We still plan to follow along with these impact sulfer trials when mother nature allows planting with our friends at Pioneer, who have a thrist for knowledge to get the right product on every one of your acres.
