Gov. Branstad sends letter to landowners along proposed carbon pipeline

Letters are arriving in the mailboxes of landowners along the proposed route of the Summit Carbon Solutions carbon sequestration project pipeline this week from retired Ambassador to China and the longest serving Governor in the country Terry Branstad, urging them to support the project and warning them about the opposition.

"Please don't be intimidated. They (Sierra Club) are not your friends and will be long gone after they have destroyed the ethanol industry and the value of your corn-producing land," writes Branstad.

The Summit Carbon Solutions carbon sequestration project proposal represents a $4.5 billion dollar private investment in partnership with 31 ethanol plants in the midwest. To see Amb. Branstad's full letter, click here.
