It's time to wrap up #plant2022

A few more soybeans are going in the ground with most of the corn not only planted, but emerged, in Cedar County where Andy found Noah Coppess hard at work:

He said this is day #14 straight of planting and a fatigue factor may be starting to set in as he hopes to wrap up planting by tomorrow morning:

The beans are being planted into no-till cornstalks and even after all the acres he's covered, he says it's always important to get out and check to make sure the planter is doing what the monitors tell you it is doing. Today he's joined by Allison Bishop from Hertz Real Estate Services:

Allison graduated last weekend with her Masters Degree in Agronomy, and she says she's impressed with the mellow soil conditions in the no-till environment and also the plentiful moisture level after so many days without rain.
