WMT Radio is 100-lets celebrate by giving back to Re-Tree Tait Cummins Park

In the afternoon of July 29th, 1929 the first ever AM Radio transmitter in Cedar Rapids was fired up in a garage on the Northeast side and WMT Radio was born. Now, 100 legendary years later, we at The Big Show/WMT Radio/iHeart Radio are ecstatic to announce a capital campaign to Re-Tree Tait Cummins park in Cedar Rapids, a much be-loved entertainment center in Cedar Rapids and named after one of our most famous alumi. In partnership with our friends at Trees Forever and the City of Cedar Rapids, we are celebrating the 100th Birthday of WMT Radio by looking forward and serving our community, continuing on the path set forth by those like Tait Cummins, Bill Quarton, Howdy Roberts, Ron Gonder, Jerry Carr, Steve Carpenter, Rich Balvanz and others who came before us, and WE NEED YOUR HELP. Click here or text "TC Park" to 44321 to make a contribution towards Re-Treeing Tait Cummins part after that awful Derecho, and the sooner you do the sooner we can get started planting.

You are seeing Trees Forever staff and City officials start to get trees in the ground, and also returning to water and care for these precious pillars of our neighborhoods each week perhaps in your area, and we want to get Tait Cummins park back to looking the way it was before the storm on August 10th. Please make your contribution today by clicking here or text "TC Park" to 44321
