Space Goat Productions, a comic book studio in Washington, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to create an official Terminator board game based of the 1984 hit movie,
They have joined forces with Lynvander Studios, a Canadian game design studio, who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer: the Board Game and Galaxy Quest: the Board Game.
In a press release The Terminator Official Board Game is describe as “an asymmetrical strategy game played across two boards, one in 1984 and one in 2029.” One player controls the game’s Skynet machines (Hunter Killer flying machines, Terminator Endoskeletons, and a few new robots), and other players are members of the human resistance fighting against the machine uprising."
Fans of the movie can sign up to receive email updates on the progress of the Kickstarter expected to go live Feb. 15. Once it’s up and running, the campaign will provide backers with a discount on The Termination Box, a box of game accessories and miniatures in return for their support.
