A premature baby was allegedly dropped during a feeding, because his nurse dozed off. The nurse was woke by the infant crying on the floor. According to reports, this left Kelsey Bond’s newborn son Keiran Keller, with a skull fracture. She now wants to sue the hospital where she had given birth to twins. Keiran has lung condition that required him to receive additional care and stay at the hospital longer than his twin. Kelsey was not at the hospital during the incident, and didn't receive a phone call until five hours later. When she did arrive she noticed there was a red, swollen section of his head. Later an ultrasound and CT scan reported a depressed fracture in his skull and an acute subdural hematoma. The nurse has recieved no punishment for the incident, with the hospital backing her saying, we are all human. More details on this story can be found here.
“I received a phone call at 8 o’clock in the morning saying that the nurse had fallen asleep feeding him and woke up to him crying on the floor. She said she was sorry … and that a pediatrician had looked at him and said he was fine.” - Kelsey Bond
