Older 60+ Americans Are Drinking More Than Ever


Study says binge drinking is considered consuming five or more drinks in a single day and in the past year that's exactly what people over 60 have been doing.

Between 1997 to 2014

Men it has gone from 19.9% to 22.5%. 

Instances were much less frequent in women but had a similar upward trend, with 4.9% of older women reportedly binge drinking in 1997 and 7.5% in 2013. And women are hitting the hard stuff.
