Breastfeeding Mother Asked to Leave Nordstrom's Restroom

A Utah woman is trying to spread awareness about mothers' rights after being asked to leave a restroom where she was breastfeeding. Ana Davis was shopping at a Nordstrom Rack when her baby daughter became hungry. Wanting to be discrete, Ana took baby Mia into the ladies room to feed her. It was a few moments later when a store employee entered the restroom and asked Ana to please relocate to a dressing room to nurse. Davis says the confrontation made her feel embarrassed because she was already trying hard to be discrete, but apparently store guests felt uncomfortable with her in the restroom.

"We as a society are OK with, you know, low-cut shirts or advertisements of underwear models and that's OK, but a nursing mother to a lot of people is just very offensive." - Ana Davis
