Emma Watson made history last night at the MTV Movie Awards when she won the first ever, general neutral acting award for he role in Beauty and the Beast. Typically these awards are separated in the female and male awards. For Watson, she knew the award was for acting, but says it felt like it was for so much more. The Grammy's first did away with a gender awards back in 2011.
"Acting is about being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and that doesn't need to be separated into two different categories." - Emma Watson
Watson also won Movie of the Year for Beauty & the Beast, which beat Get Out, Logan and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
