Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced this week that the company will begin selling and installing solar-powered roofing. They've created glass roof tiles with embedded solar collectors that will turn sunlight into energy for your home and they claim their tiles are stronger than current roofing products. Not only that, but the are a third lighter and they're cheaper. They will be offered in several styles. The "black glass smooth" and "textured" tiles will be available first, and the company will begin selling the "Tuscan" and "French slate" tiles in six months.
