Katie Nola of the Iowa Egg Council joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news. May is National Egg Month and the Iowa Egg Council, Food Bank of Iowa and Nationwide Insurance volunteers will be handing out FREE breakfast burritos, fruit and juice on Thursday, May 25th, from 7-10AM in the Western Gateway Park area of downtown Des Moines. All free will donations will go to the Food Bank of Iowa to help fight hunger! Get a great breakfast and contribute to those in need!
If you have purchased hot dogs to put on the grill for Memorial Day, please check your packages. John Morrell & Co. are recalling beef frank products that might be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal. They are 14 oz. "Nathan's Skinless 8 Beef Franks" with a Use By Date of Aug. 19, 2017; and 16 oz. "Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks" with a Use By Date of June 15, 2017.
