Meet Dusty Wygle of the Nitro Circus! Dusty joined us in the studio this morning just after the 8:30 news. The Nitro Circus is full of death-defying stunts and mind-blowing tricks that have sold out audiences worldwide and is coming to Jack Trice Field in Ames this Saturday, June 3rd. Since this event is weather-dependent, the starting time is currently set at 4PM, but could vary depending on weather. Tickets are available in advance at www.nitrocircus.com. Dusty has been doing this for seven years and has had a couple of broken bones and other injuries and he is just one of 30 performers in the show. They just finished performing in Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand. The ramps on the field are 45 feet high!
Outdoors Dan also joined us in the studio this morning just after the 7:30 news. Dan is spearheading a veterans event called "A Day For Vets" on Saturday, July 8th, from 10AM-2PM at the Des Moines Airport Holiday Inn. There will be employers there looking to hire veterans, Veterans Benefit Commissioners and Veterans Program Coordinators to discuss services and benefits available, hourly prize drawings, product samples and more! For more information, go to www.outdoorsdan.com or www.whoradio.com.
Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie, we'll have more ZZ Top tickets to give away, the Friday Morning News Quiz, and we'll talk with KC of KC and the Sunshine Band!
Enjoy the gorgeous weather!
