Clive police say a dozen handguns and automatic weapons stolen

CLIVE, IOWA - Police are looking for two men who they say stole more than dozen guns overnight, including seven automatic weapons.

Clive police confirm the break in at Rangemasters Training Center, 10520 Hickman Road.  A burglar alarm tripped at 10:00 p.m. Thursday night.  When police arrived they say the the glass entry door was broken.

Surveillance video shows two men wearing masks and gloves smashing through the front door, then splitting u inside.

One suspect broke open a display case and stole nine handguns.  The other suspect went to a wall of long guns and took two rifles and seven fully automatic weapons.  Rangemasters does have a Federal Firearms License, so it is legal for them to possess the automatic weapons.

Police say the men were in and out in under two minutes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clive Police Department.  The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is helping investigate the burglary.
