Iowa Snowfall totals Sunday to Monday

DES MOINES, IOWA - Iowans woke Monday morning to a few inches of fresh snow.  In central Iowa that generally meant 2 to 3 inches.

Wind Chill Warnings are in effect for part of Northern Iowa until Noon on Tuesday.

Wind Chill Advisories are in effect for the rest of the state, including the Des Moines Metro area.

WHO Channel 13 Meteorologist Jeriann Ritter says the strong NW winds will make it feel more like -25 to -35 today. With conditions like this, frostbite can happen in less than 10 minutes.

Then, get ready for the weekend!  After a couple of very cold days early this week, temperatures will moderate to the 20s and 30s on Wednesday and Thursday, and the 40s on Friday, into the weekend.
