DES MOINES, IOWA - With the lowest unemployment numbers in 17 years, Iowa now ranks in the top-5 for lowest unemployment in the nation.

"Iowa's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate does continue to decrease."  Cory Kelly with Iowa Workforce tells WHO Radio News.

"We've dropped to 2.8% for December."  He says.  That compares to the national unemployment rate of 4.1%
