DES MOINES, Iowa - The woman killed Sunday morning in a Des Moines crash has been identified.

22-year-old Miriam Ventura Parra, of Marshalltown, died after her car plunged off an interstate bridge and crashed on the street below.

The Polk County Sheriff's Department says the car was westbound on  I-80 35 approaching the 2nd Street overpass bridge when it left the road, and landed on 2nd Street below the overpass, smashing into a bridge barrier.

Parra was dead at the scene, and her two passengers, Ana Ventura and Jacquelin Gomez - both 23 years old and also from Marshalltown, were taken to the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation by Polk County Deputies.
