Storms and flash flooding in NW Iowa PHOTOS

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa - Reports of downed trees and power lines add to already waterlogged parts of Northwest Iowa.  Days of heavy rain flooded basements, streets, and fields.  Strong storms Thursday night added to the weather troubles in the region.

Trees, limbs, and power lines were reported blocking roads in Milford, Superior, and Swan Lake.  Highway 60 at Alton was closed.  A resident in Estherville reported on ExploreOkoboji's Facebook page that lots of trees were down in Estherville, and roofs were blown off the bowling alley and car wash there.  An area around the car wash was evacuated due to a gas leak.
