6-8 inches of snow likely in Des Moines region IOWA SNOW MAPS

DES MOINES, Iowa - Here we go, again. Another snow storm is moving into Iowa Saturday night into Sunday. The National Weather Service is issuing a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire State of Iowa.

The snow will begin in the Southwest part of the state, and move across Iowa to the Northeast. The snow start times map is below.

The most intense snowfall rates are forecast late this evening into early Sunday morning. Once the snow begins, roads conditions will quickly deteriorate as they become snow covered and slick, but the National Weather Service says winds will stay low so blowing and drifting is not expected.
