9.1 inches of snow Sunday - 6 to 8 inches due Tuesday night!

If you like snow, this is your time. For the rest of us...

...There's more snow coming. The National Weather Service is predicting that we'll end up with six to eight inches of more snow Tuesday night into Wednesday.

That's on top of the 9.1 inches of snow the Des Moines area received Sunday at the official record-keeping station at the Des Moines International Airport. Some areas had higher amounts.

There's so much snow...Des Moines Public Works department had to find a place to store it. They're using a former Waste Management landfill site on East 14th, where truckloads of snow taken from shopping center and store parking lots and other places is being dumped.

Des Moines Public Works Director Jonathan Gano says the city doesn't plow driveways...but if the snow gets too high you can contact them to see about help in dealing with the snow. Their phone number is (515) 283-4950.
