Snow predicted to end 11 am. Wednesday

Tuesday night, you might say that Mother Nature was on Des Moines' side for awhile.

Radar throughout most of the night showed snow-sometimes heavy snow-showing up to the west and east of the Des Moines area, but there was none in central Iowa.

By 10:30pm streets in Des Moines were a bit wet or icy after melting, but there was not much snow falling.

Des Moines and all the metro area are expected to get between 6 and 8 inches of snow between 9pm and 11am Wednesday. A Winter Storm Warning was issued for the area until noon Wednesday
