A smoker caught on fire Saturday, which destroyed an attached shed and then took aim at Cole's Tenderloin restaurant in Slater.
The shop was named after owner David Sturdy's son Cole, who died while serving in the military.
Cole's had some disagreements with their insurors over proper fire warning equipment, so Sturdy expects he'll have to pay more to rebuild the iconic restaurant.
The community has volunteered to help. And a GoFund me account's been set up to raise money. As of Sunday night, about 150 dollars had been raised of the 10 thousand dollar goal. Here's the link to the site:
