Iowa farmers send more donated hay to feed hungry cattle in flooded areas

JONES COUNTY, Iowa- Jones County farmers have gathered nearly 100 hay bales which were taken to flood weary livestock producers in Nebraska. The convoy started early Saturday morning, headed for Fullerton, Nebraska.

Donations came from farmers in Mechanisville, Monticello, Cascade, Monmouth, Anamosa, and Wyoming, Iowa. Producers also kicked in nearly $3,000 in cash and fencing supplies, and fuel donations for the drivers of the semis to transport the donations.
