Snow likely Omaha - Des Moines/Ames - Cedar Rapids - Quad Cities MAPS

DES MOINES, Iowa - The National Weather Service is raising predicted snow totals this weekend.

A large winter storm is bringing snow across the region in two waves, one Friday into Friday night, the second wave Saturday afternoon and evening.

Snow totals cut a diagonal path across Southeastern Nebraska, through Iowa, and on into Wisconsin and Illinois.

AT Council Bluffs, 2-3 inches of snow is likely, Omaha 1-4, Ames 3-4", Des Moines 4-6 inches, Cedar Rapids 8-12 inches, and Davenport 4-6 inches.

To the southeast of that line, Osceola and Ottumwa are likely to get 6-8 inches of snow, as is Dubuque 6-8.
