Kanye West trying to get on Iowa's presidential ballot

DES MOINES, Iowa -- It appears rapper Kanye West is trying to get on Iowa's presidential ballot.

Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate says West's representatives delivered nominating petitions to his office Friday to attempt to make it on November's ballot.

Pate says, via Twitter, his office has started the process of reviewing petition signatures to see if they meet the state's minimum requirements. He says the process likely won't be done until Monday.

West, listed without a political party in Iowa's filing, has has successfully gotten his name on presidential ballots in Arkansas, Colorado, and Oklahoma.

His efforts to get on Wisconsin's ballot is being challenged.
