No tailgating before ISU home football games

AMES, Iowa -- There won't be any tailgating before Iowa State's home football games this season.

In a letter on the athletic department website, ISU Athletic Director Jamie Pollard parking lots near Jack Trice Stadium will be open two hours before kick-off, and buses and R-Vs won't be allowed.

He says face coverings will be required at all times for everyone in the stadium

Also, concessions in the stadium will be linted to soda and water--that no food will be served.

Pollard also says they're still discussing fan capacity limits that range from 50 percent with seats limited to season ticket holders, reducing to 25 percent capacity with season ticket holders alternating home games, to no fans at all.

He says season ticket holders have option to convert their purchase into a Cyclone Club donation; defer their 2020 ticket purchase to 2021 and keep their seats, or request a refund.

As for the winter sports season, Pollard raised the prospect that those sports--including men's and women's basketball--won't start until after January 1st, 2021.
