Two teens dead, two drivers critical in crash near Chariton

Chariton, IA -- Two teens are dead and two people are critical after a pickup turned in front of a Jeep on Highway 34 in Chariton, in southern Iowa, Sunday night.

15-year-old Katilyn Spicer of Des Moines and 16-year-old Chase Lavely of Chariton were passengers in the Jeep driven by 18-year-old Black Skinner of Corydon. Both passengers were killed. Skinner was flown to Mercy in Des Moines and is in critical condition.

The woman driving the Ford F250 pickup, 55-year-old Angel Blanchard of Des Moines was also flown to Mercy Hospital and is in critical condition. 55-year-old Shawn Blanchard, a passenger in the pickup is at Chariton Hospital.
