(Council Bluffs, IA) -- An Iowa woman accused of trying to set another woman on fire is in custody. Council Bluffs Police say Lindsy Maves is facing attempted murder, arson, and willful injury.

Police say she's accused of spraying another woman with a flammable substance, then lighting her on fire outside a homeless shelter, at North 15th Street early Monday morning.

Police say Maves is also accused of hitting the woman in the face as a witness tried to put out the flames. Maves ran away, but was arrested later.

The woman inured, 37-year-old Christine Weilage, was taken to an Omaha hospital for treatment of severe burns.

Investigators say the two women had been involved in a disturbance.
