Two teens charged in northern Iowa homicide

(Emmet County, IA) -- Two teens are charged with a man's murder in northern Iowa. The Emmet County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Connor Uhde and 18-year-old CeJay Van Der Wiit are charged in the death of 20-year-old David McDowell of Estherville. The Sheriff's Office says McDowell's body was found Saturday, October 2nd, along a rural Emmet County Road.

Investigators executed search warrants simultaneously in Estherville and Rockwell City, Iowa October 6th and arrested Uhde and Van Der Wilt after gathering evidence.

Uhde is being held in the Emmet County Jail. Van Der Wilt is in the Buena Vista County Jail.
