Iowa Sees Improving Drought Conditions

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa drought conditions are continuing to shrink.

This week's National Drought Monitor Map shows even smaller areas of moderate drought in Northern and Eastern Iowa compared to last week.

There are still near-drought conditions in Northwest, Central and Eastern Iowa.

The new map shows nearly 60 percent of Iowa is drought-free.
