Record Setting High Temps To Start December

The Omaha National Weather Service says Eastern Nebraska could see some of the warmest December weather in years this week, with record high temperatures forecast for Omaha/Council Bluffs, Lincoln and Norfolk on Thursday.

WOWT 6 News Meteorologist Mallory Schnell says highs in Omaha should top out in the mid to upper 60's Monday afternoon, just shy of the daily record of 72° set in 1998.

Lower 70's are possible for areas around Lincoln, with low to mid 60's northeast of Omaha.

Winds may become gusty Monday afternoon, from the Northwest from 25 to 30 mph.
