The transfer station at the Sarpy County landfill near Springfield goes to winter hours late this week:
·Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
·Saturday: 6 a.m. – noon
·Sunday: Closed
The Transfer Station will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
The facility accepts most solid waste, including household trash, appliances, tires, roofing materials and more.
It is located at the Sarpy County landfill site, 14414 S. 156th Street, Springfield.
