December Warmth May Break Records

The Omaha National Weather Service says high temperatures Thursday will not only threaten to break daily records, but could approach the warmest December temperatures ever recorded in Omaha, Lincoln, and Norfolk.

High temperatures Thursday expected to be 30 to 35 degrees above normal.

This as we are in December, the Christmas-New Year's Holiday season, with Wednesday being the first "Meteorological Winter" day.

WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says even with a cool down for the weekend, afternoon temperatures will be warmer than average.
