(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Police say a wrong-way driver caused a big crash in Cedar Rapids, then took off his clothes and ran away. Police say several vehicles were involved in the crash this (Thursday) morning on southbound I-380, blocking traffic between 42nd Street and Glass Road due to the crash. Traffic was detoured onto Highway 100 and the Highway 30 bypass.

Police say the wrong-way driver tried to squeeze into a lane between a semi and a car, forcing the semi to flip over, spilling corn on the pavement. The car crashed into the median, and the wrong-way driver continued before hitting another semi and a car.

Police say at that point, the driver got out and removed his clothing and ran away. Police say he was found later near Center Point and 42nd Street and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
