Investigation Underway After Bald Eagle Shot In Eastern Iowa

(Linn County, IA) - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is looking for the person responsible for shooting a bald eagle in eastern Iowa. The DNR says the eagle was found in southeast Cedar Rapids January 9th, 2022 along the Cedar River near the Sac and Fox trail.

The eagle was taken to a local wildlife rehabilitation center. Because of the severity of injury, the eagle was euthanized.
