Iowa Gov Explains Eye Movement During SOTU Response

(Des Moines, IA) -- Those who watched Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds give the GOP response to President Biden's State of the Union Address Tuesday night, may have noticed Reynolds glancing to her right on a couple of occasions, diverting her attention away from her teleprompter. What was she looking at?

"The producer said all cell phones off, and then (the producer's) cell phone alarm went off, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP," Reynolds explained on the Simon Conway Show on WHO Radio in Des Moines, AM 600 WMT (Cedar Rapids) & 1420 WOC (Davenport). Reynolds says after the alarm, the producer's phone rang and the producer took the call, during Reynolds' speech. The Governor said while she was speaking she wondered if everything was okay with the broadcast, she says she just keep on reading her speech. She says there was a lot of commotion.

Reynolds noted, however, everything went well and she complimented all of those involved with the broadcast.
