Three Hurt In Southeast Iowa Wrong-Way Crash

(Henry County, IA) -- Three people are hurt after a wrong-way crash in southeast Iowa's Henry County. The Iowa State Patrol says 34-year-old Heather Brown of Fairfield was traveling the wrong way on Highway 34 around 1:30 this (Friday) morning, when she collided head-on with a pick-up truck driven by 55-year-old Alan Frederick of Ottumwa. The ISP says Brown's car then hit a second pick-up, driven by 75-year-old Edward Grade of Ottumwa. Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from her car.

Brown and Frederick were flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Grade was taken by ambulance to Henry County Medical Center.

The ISP says the crash happened in a construction zone at mile marker 226, which is about six mile west of Mount Pleasant.
