Central, Southern Iowa Under Enhanced Risk For Severe Weather

(Des Moines, IA) -- Central and southern Iowa are now under an enhanced risk for severe weather. The National Weather Service says severe storms are possible between 3-8 pm. Damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornados are the main threat.

Wind gusts of 40 MPH are expected later this evening, prompting a Wind Advisory for the evening and overnight hours.
