(Ames, IA) -- Ames Police are investigating the robbery of the Kum and Go convenience store at 4506 Lincoln Way. Police say a suspect held up the location around 12:05 a.m. this (Monday) morning. The clerk described the suspect as wearing a black puffy winter coat, and a rubber glove on one hand and bags over his shoes.
Police say the suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, then left with another male who was waiting outside. Police say both individuals got into a car that was driven by a third person, and left the area southbound.
