(Des Moines, IA) -- A man's in custody after jumping from a roof in Des Moines in an effort to police. A police dog was used to help capture 28-year-old Tyrone Cameron. Police say Cameron is accused in a deadly shooting Sunday night near 24th and Hickman. Police were called Sunday night after 10 o'clock because of two victims, a man and woman who had been shot. The man, who later died, was identified as 59-year-old Jeffrey Gillom. Police have not released the name of a 46-year-old woman who is recovering from a gunshot wound.

Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parezik says witnesses told officers there had been an argument before the shooting. Police say surveillance footage helped them zero-in on Tyrone Cameron.

Officers set up a perimeter before 9 o'clock this (Friday) morning in the 49-hundred block of Urbandale Avenue and attempted to arrest Cameron, before he tried to flee. He was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and was released into police custody.

Cameron is facing First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder charges.
