Suspect In Two Cedar Rapids Murders In Custody

(Linn County, IA) -- A man's been arrested in connection with a January homicide case in Cedar Rapids. US Marshals arrested 20-year-old Kaziuz Childress, in the death of Cordal Lewis January 27th, in the 300 block of 31st Drive SE.

Childress is also facing charges in the death of Kavon Johnson January 28th at Cedar Valley Park in Cedar Rapids.

Childress has been charged with Murder in the First Degree and Going Armed with Intent for both homicides.

The Linn County Attorney’s Office is asking anyone who has more information about these homicides to contact the Cedar Rapids Police Department.

U.S. Marshals transported Childress to the Scott County Jail where he remains in custody.
