Iowa Man Accused Of Holding Person Captive For Days

(Mason City, IA) -- A northern Iowa man is accused of holding a person captive for several days and assaulting them. Mason City Police were called to a home in the 400 block of 1st Street SW around 1 p.m. Thursday because of an assault. They found a victim who was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Police arrested 23-year-old Moises Erreguin-Labra. He was first charged with serious assault. The charges were then upgraded to kidnapping. Police say the victim and the man charged knew each other.

Erreguin-Labra is in the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
